8 min read

Supporting public service initiatives through design, training, and digital production.

During my internship at DICT Region V in Camarines Sur, I supported government-led digital initiatives through design, webinar facilitation, and livestream production. My work focused on creating clear visual materials, assisting with training sessions, and helping deliver accessible digital programs to the public.

The Problem

Delivering clear and engaging digital programs at scale.

DICT Region V regularly conducts webinars, training sessions, and public-facing initiatives. These required clear visual materials, smooth livestream execution, and consistent communication to support learning and engagement across diverse audiences.

Inconsistent Visual Materials

Training sessions and events needed standardized, easy-to-understand visual assets.

High Volume of Digital Events

Frequent webinars required reliable design and technical support.

Public-Facing Communication

Content had to remain accessible and easy to follow for all participants.

An internship focused on digital support and execution.

As an intern, I worked closely with the DICT Region V team to support ongoing digital programs. My responsibilities spanned design, content preparation, webinar support, and administrative assistance, all within the structure and standards of a government environment.

In addition to creative work, I handled data entry, documentation, phone inquiries, and troubleshooting tasks to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

“How can I easily follow the webinar, understand the information being shared, and stay engaged throughout the session. Is there a clear structure, readable slides, and smooth delivery so I can focus on learning without getting distracted by technical issues or confusing visuals.”

  • Designing social media graphics, posters, mockups, and presentations using Canva
  • Writing captions to support social media communication and audience engagement
  • Creating webinar slide decks and interactive Mentimeter activities
  • Designing livestream assets such as flashers, footers, standby screens, and Zoom backgrounds
  • Managing OBS to support TechTalk Thursdays and other webinar events
  • Serving as a resource speaker and facilitator for closed-group training sessions

This role required flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver consistently under time constraints.

Improving clarity, engagement, and digital delivery.

My work helped strengthen how DICT Region V delivered its programs and communicated with participants.

  • More consistent and professional visual materials across events
  • Improved engagement during webinars through interactive slides and activities
  • Smoother livestream execution through proper asset preparation and OBS management

These improvements supported clearer communication and more effective digital learning experiences.

Supporting daily operations beyond design.

Alongside creative and technical work, I assisted with essential administrative tasks that supported the team’s overall efficiency.

  • Data entry and documentation
  • Troubleshooting basic technical issues
  • Handling phone inquiries and internal coordination

This experience reinforced the importance of reliability and adaptability in a structured work environment.

Real-World Execution

This internship exposed me to fast-paced, real-world workflows where design directly supported public initiatives.

I learned how to adapt quickly, follow established guidelines, and deliver work that prioritized clarity over aesthetics alone.

The Problem

A strong foundation in professional digital work.

The internship at DICT Region V provided hands-on experience in design, communication, and digital production within a public service context. It strengthened my ability to work within constraints, collaborate with teams, and deliver reliable outputs under deadlines.

Improved Digital Programs

Webinars and training sessions benefited from clearer visuals, better structure, and smoother overall delivery.

Professional Growth

The experience built a strong foundation in execution, communication, and structured workflows.
